Nenana Municipal Airport Lighting & Signage Upgrade

We’re excited to announce that an airfield lighting and signage replacement project will soon begin at the Nenana Municipal Airport. This initiative, made possible through grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will improve visibility and enhance safety for pilots and passengers using our local airport.  Construction is expected to take place in 2026.​​​​​​

Virtual Public Meeting – December 3, 2025

Thank you to all community members, airport users, and stakeholders who attended the second Virtual Public Consultation Meeting for the Nenana Municipal Airport Lighting & Signage Upgrade on December 3, 2025.

During the meeting, the project team:

• Reviewed the existing airfield lighting and signage conditions

• Shared design progress and preliminary construction sequencing

• Provided an overview of what to expect during construction

• Hosted a Q&A session with attendees
