Nenana Municipal Airport Lighting & Signage Upgrade

We’re excited to announce that an airfield lighting and signage replacement project will soon begin at the Nenana Municipal Airport. This initiative, made possible through grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will improve visibility and enhance safety for pilots and passengers using our local airport.  Construction is expected to take place in 2026.​​​​​​

Virtual Public Meeting Announcement – December 3, 2025

The City of Nenana and the project team invite community members and airport stakeholders to participate in the second Virtual Public Consultation Meeting for the Nenana Municipal Airport Lighting & Signage Upgrade.​​ The project team held the first public meeting following the 70% Design milestone on September 30, 2025. A summary of that meeting is available below.
